Indiana soybean farmers are committed to finding sustainable markets and uses for the soybeans they produce. Aquaculture is the fastest growing use for soybean meal worldwide, and ISA is investing checkoff dollars to build our state’s aquaculture industry.
By replacing the fish meal in current fish feed rations with soybean meal, aquaculture becomes more sustainable, both economically and environmentally.
With the focus of increasing the use of soybean meal in farm-raised fish diets, ISA is funding feed research trials in order to develop more efficient soy-based feeds for aquaculture. Partnerships with public and private industry have allowed ISA to also help new and current fish producers develop their business in Indiana.
